コロナで暇になって前から気になってたコーヒーの自家焙煎をはじめた。
豆を家で挽いてドリップした時も大概感動したものだが、焙煎して時間が経ってないコーヒーを家でずっと楽しめる喜びはそれを上回っていた。
他の食べ物ほど鮮度が重要視されてない気がするけど、焙煎翌日〜5日目ぐらいのコーヒーは最高だ。

適当に買ってきた豆とは比べ物にならないぐらい膨らむし、香りも段違い。
煎り具合によって酸味や苦味をコントロールでき、挽き方や抽出方の違いも組み合わせれば一種類の豆でかなり楽しめる。

酸味が強いと言われてるグアテマラを深めに煎ってみたら酸味苦手でもほどよく酸味を楽しみつつ美味しくいけたり、とにかく毎日の試行錯誤が楽しい。

豆を栽培するのは無理として、生豆を手にしてからはプロと同じプロセスを経ることができるのもテンション上がる。

コーヒー好きには価格を抑えられるのも嬉しいところ。

Amazonに出店してるdr i gamaという店がおすすめ。不良豆が少なく、1キロで1300円ぐらい。不良取り除いても900は余裕で残る。焙煎したらもっと減るけど1300円で50〜60杯淹れれる。ブラジルとグアテマラとスプレモ買ったけどどれも美味かった。
そして意外とハードルは高くない。
